ONGC (Oil And Natural Gas Corporation) is India’s oil and gas production company which launched up to 4000rRs./Month scholarship (ONGC Scholarship) for Students who need financial support in their higher education. This scholarship is provided to specific field students after the 12th. The scholarship amount varies according to the applicant’s caste and marks.
ONGC Scholarship 2024: Eligibility
To apply for ONGC Scholarship 2024 there are some conditions which the applicants should fulfill given as follows:
- Applicant Has Domicile of India
- Applicant Student should be of caste category SC/ST/OBC/GEN
- Applicant Student should be studying in 1st year of Engineering/ Medical (MBBS)/ MBA/ Master in Geology/ Geophysics
- The marks eligibility criteria are different for different courses as given follows:
| For Engineering and Medical (MBBS) Students: The student should have passed the 12th Examination with at least 60% |
| For Master in Geology/ Geophysics/ MBA: Students should have secured a minimum of 60% in the examination or 6 CGPA in the Graduation Examination. |
- The age of the student should be less than 30 years as of 16th October 2023
- Family Income Criteria also vary according to the caste of the student:

Per Year the ONGC Scholarship team selects around 2000 students for this scholarship, and in it, there is a condition in the selection of students and there is a difference in scholarship amount based on students’ courses and their caste category. But on average there is a 4000Rs./Month scholarship provided to students who are selected for this scholarship.
ONGC Scholarship 2024: Selection Process
After application, the ONGC Scholarship team selects the students as given target. They Select 1000 SC/ST students, 500 OBC students, and 500 Gen Students. In this caste-wise selection, there is a stream or course-wise selection.
- For engineering students, there are 500 from SC/ST, 300 From OBC, And 300 From Gen Students selected for this scholarship.
- For MBBS Students there are 90 From SC/ST, 50 OBC, And 50 from GEN.
- For MBA there are 140 from SC/ST, 50 OBC, and 50 GEN.
- For Masters in Geology or Geophysics, there are 270 Students selected which belongs to the SC/ST caste, 100 From OBC, And 100 From the GEN Category the students are selected for the ONGC Scholarship.
