Gruha Jyoti Scheme 2024: Objective
In Karnataka, there are some houses that can’t afford electricity and because of it, they can’t connect with today’s technology. To make a smart State the Government of Karnataka Launched the Gruha Jyoti Scheme, The meaning of Gruha is House and Jyoti means Light Up. Gruha Jyoti Scheme 2024 Average Electricity Consumption Calculation
The applicant will get selected for Gruha Jyopti Scheme 2024 if his/her Average Electricity consumption is less than 200 Units per month. He/She will get free electricity or zero electricity bill if the average electricity consumption is less than 200 units per month. If not then there is the chance of getting rejected for the scheme.

Eligibility
The Applicant should fulfill the following eligibility criteria for selection in the scheme:
- The applicant for Gruha Jyoti Scheme 2024 should be a resident of Karnataka
- He/She should have an Aadhar card which is linked to the electricity bill
- Applicant’s Average Monthly Electricity Consumption should be less than 200 Units per month for the last 12 months
- The electricity meters of Domestic and residential houses are only allowed to take benefit of this scheme
- The applicant’s Aadhar card will not be linked to any other meter that is selected in this scheme (Only One Free Electricity benefit for one Aadhar card).
- Tenant Applicants can also benefit from this scheme whether the owner’s name on the Electricity bill is the same as on the Aadhar card.
- Applicants who have APL or BPL Rashan Card can take benefit of the scheme

Application Process
If you want to apply for Gruha Jyoti Scheme 2024 follow the below process carefully:
1. First Go to your Mobile/Desktop Browser and search “Gruha Jyoti Yojana Scheme 2024 Seva Sindhu Ugc” Site or go to the link given below of this article.
2. Click on the link and you will see the Gruha Yojana Option on the screen, Click on it.
3. Now the Gruha Jyoti Scheme 2024 application form is visible choose the language of the form by clicking on it (English or Kannada).
4. Now Choose the ESCOM Name by clicking on it. Now enter the Customer ID or Account ID on it. You can find it on the header portion of the Electricity bill.
5. The account holder’s name and address on the electricity bill will be seen.

7. You will see three options in it as follows:
- Owner: If Applicant is the owner of the House and on the electricity bill, his/her name is there
- Tenant: If Applicant is not the owner of the house (You are living in a Rented House), The name on the electricity bill is different than Applicant.
- Family Member: The name on the electricity bill is of any family member like father, mother, or any.
8. Click on the option (Owner/Tenant/Family Member) in which you come.
9. Now enter the Aadhar card number and Mobile Number on it.
10. Fill in the captcha code and click on the Submit Button.
11. If your application process is completed then you will receive a notification on the given mobile number.
